Today, are going to learn about colours! Colours make up an very important part of our lives.

Colour is simply light of different wavelengths and frequencies and light is just one form of energy that we can actually see that is made up from photons.

Colours come from light. It is possible for us to split the light into its PRIMARY colours, using a prism.

As a designer, colours is a very important factor when designing something. The colours decide ife object looks attractive or appealing.

Also, different colour combinations or at different places may plant different messages in your mind. for example:
The yellow line in the mrt station is used as a marker to ensure you are within a safe zone.

Also, the red paper which the referee of each soccer match uses tells public the seriousness of the foul the player did and what would happen to the player, wether he would be allowed to continue playing the match or not.

Also, in this picture, i personally think the chocolate company colours their cohocolates with many different colour like the one at the right. Its colours are used to attract people to eat the cohocolates.

Today, we are going to learn about workshop safety!
First, there are 14 rules which u must abide, as they will keep you and the others safe.
Rule 1:Always listen carefully to the teachers and follow instructions
This is a very important rule as we must listen to teachers sat all times to reduce the possibility of accidents.

Rule 2: Do not run in the workshop, you could 'bump' into another pupil and cause an accident.
We must not run or play in the workshop as there are many sharp things and machines there. We may hurt ourselves if we fall or push others, making them fall.

Rule 3: Know where the emergency stop buttons are positioned in the workshop. If you see an accident at the other side of the workshop you can use the emergency stop button to turn off all electrical power to machines.
Stop buttons are important because they are used for emergencies like the machine cannot be stopped when someone is stuck in it hence the emergency stop button will stop the electricity flow and the machine will stop.

Rule 4. Always wear an apron as it will protect your clothes and hold lose clothings such as ties in place.
Loose clothings may get stuck in machines, dragging us along. hence, the apron will hold any lose clothing to prevent such accidents form happening

Rule 5: Wear good strong shoes. Training shoes are not suitable.
We miust wear good shoes with good friction and quality to prevent us from slipping and reduce the chance of having accidents.

Rule 6: When attempting practical work all stools must be put away.
When we do practical work, we must not sit down.

Rule 7: Bags must not be brought into the workshop as people may trip over them.]
When we are doing practical work or holding sharp objects, when we trip over mags we may accidentally cut ourselves or others, hence bags shuold be put away.

Rule 8: When learning how to use machines, listen very carefully to all instructions by the teacher. Ask questions, especially if you do not fully understand.
machines can be useful, and dangerous if we do not know how to use them. Ask questions when we are not sure and learn so that the machines may be used as a tool, and not a threat.

Rule 9: Do not use a machine if you have not been shown how to operate it safely by the teacher.

Rule 10: Always be patient, never rush in a workshop.
Rushing in a workshop would cause anxiety and we tend to be more careless, leading to accidents.

Rule 11: Always use a guard when working on a machine.
Guards protect you when working so they are important.

Rule 12:Keep hand from moving or rotating machinery.
Moving or rotating machinery may cut your hand hence in is safer not to touch them.

Rule 13:Use hand tools carefull, keeping both hands behind the cutting edge.
The cutting edge may hurt us hence it is better not to go too near it.

Rule 14:Report any damage to machines/equipment as this would cause an accident.
Prevention is better than cure.
